Subrata Chakraborty, PhD

I’m fortunate to have had the chance to build a career doing what I love. From a young age, I’ve been focused and goal-oriented. When I envisioned my professional future, I decided to become a scientist.
 

I am thrilled to say that I am a physicist by education and scientist by training. My scientific expertise covers a wide range- laboratory astrophysics/ cosmochemistry, earth and planetary science, planetary atmosphere, nuclear physics. Through experimental simulation studies and natural sample analysis, my goal is to understand nature as a whole and in particular, the formation and evolution of our solar system, the distribution, and the evolution of volatiles in different planetary bodies and their connection to the origin of life.
